It's a mouthful, I know. Up until last year Native Advertising didn't have a very clear definition. Now, with a clear one, it is hard to conceive what the heck it is and how it can work for you and your company in 2017.
The good news? I know how it works. In it's barest form, it is paid media where the ad experience follows the natural form and function of the user experience in which it is placed. Now, that seems easy, right? Sort of. As consumerists, we are ever quick to blacklist a company that is seemingly forcing their product on us. So, how can you create Native Advertising for your company without seeming like your shoving your product into your market's face? That's where we come in.
Speaking about thinking 'outside-the-box', we really like what this French company BRUT is doing [very similar to NowThis, but bringing in a French Twist. They are taking distinct angles on daily news stories, by keeping the public informed with factual stories, but bringing it to an entire new level. The Marketing Industry is chock full of people who use ridiculous jargon (and often make up said jargon on their own) to confuse business owners. They want to confuse the owners and make them feel like they are out of the loop and will never catch up. Quite frankly, I hate it. Yes, the industry is changing everyday. Yes, it can be overwhelming. But, you should have someone on your side who will do the research and who can implement the initiatives you need to make your business shine and stand out from the rest.
It's good to have a friend out there and I'm the friend you can call anytime. I've also got a few designers and marketers who help me along the way. But they're cool, I swear! We're doing some great things and I want nothing more for you to do great things, too.
